PROJECT HISTORY

2018
The idea of Shriftovik as a community of like-minded people was born. At that time only Tikhon Reztsov, the founder of Shriftovik, worked on it
Alexandra Valuikina, the gold-winner of the EuroSkills 2018, was the first to join the project. Thanks to her contribution, the project received a strong boost to development and began to acquire its current form

2020
In that year we entered the main typeface marketplaces: MyFonts, YouWorkForThem, CreativeMarket, etc. This made it possible to broadcast the ideas of Shriftovik to the whole world.
Our Instagram was created, where we actively began to share creatives based on our typefaces with the world.
We made a typeface for the Women's Super League Football project together with the advertising agency BBDO Moscow.
We launched the collaborators program, which made it possible to expand the typeface library faster and better.
The first font created as part of this program was the SK Concretica typeface, perhaps our most successful typeface.

We worked tirelessly attracting new people to our community and released 16 excellent typefaces in a year!
We rebranded the type foundry together with the Moscow design agency Tuman Studio to become clearer and friendlier
Together with the designer Vasily Brodovikov, his studio Burøgrafia and the project "Zapovednye Kvartaly" we decorated the street spaces of Nizhny Novgorod
Our fonts were shortlisted for the Modern Cyrillic 2021 competition and the Sreda festival of new design

We learned that we can face any difficulties.
In response to the crisis, we launched new information channels and began to share our knowledge about typefaces and typography.
Released our first variable font SK Synonym Grotesk.
Now we continue to look for new authors and experiment with font culture. And we urge you to do the same. Unite and make amazing fonts together!
